This is Cory. He is a young man from Iowa. He was recently beaten for being gay. A homophobic asshole took Cory’s face and ground it into a gravel parking lot repeatedly just because of his sexuality.  Cory is in the hospital with extensive injuries and being so young, he doesn’t have insurance. There has been a website set up to help share his story, get him support, and even raise some money to help pay his extensive hospital bills. I know this is just Tumblr and a lot of you are not capable of donating, but no amount is too small. One dollars, five dollars, ten dollars, or as many dollars you want to give. It will help him overcome this incident.

A direct quote from Cory after the incident:

“I’ve had a whirlwind of emotions running through my brain. I was angry, I was sad, I was hurt, and I was abused. Now. I am PROUD. I’m still standing as taller than I ever have. I never wanted to press charges because that’s not the man I am. I’m a better man. (none of that is on the record) but the more society is standing up for me. The more I recall and can literally relate to the pain, suffering, and lowered self worth. The more it drives me to take a stand. Not for myself because I know I’ll be just fine. But to those who will bear this uncivilized circumstance and for those who didn’t come out as lucky as I did. Alive. ”

Through all the pain, Cory has high spirits and is going to use this incident to help others in the future.
